    Wind in Egypt is often absent or weak. Hot spring wind that blows across the country is locally known as the "Khamsin". It is phenomenon of Egypt's climate. It usually arrives in April but occasionally occurs in March and May. It usually lasts for a few days, and it has limited influence on working daily life.
  • Rainfall
    Winter cyclonic disturbances moving eastwards along the Mediterranean Sea bring some significant rainfall, only along the northern coastal strip.
  • Humidity
    Cairo reports humidity as high as 77 percent during the summer. While during the rest of the year, humidity is low. Alexandria experiences relatively high humidity, but sea breeze helps maintaining the moisture down to a comfortable level.
