Abydos-Tomb UJ-Naqada III

Egypt Before Unification

A phase in the ancient Egyptian history that precedes the unification of Egypt in 3200 BC. During this phase, Egyptians settled around the Nile Valley forming different cultures such as Badari and Naqada. Archaeological excavations discovered several huge tombs which belonged to chieftains, and distinctive pottery which helps in dating this period, through the Sequence Dating method.
